RSPB HD Compact 8x25 Binoculars

The close focus distance is incredible for such a compact binocular — I spotted a butterfly just a few metres away with crystal clarity. They're lightweight enough to hang around my neck all day without any strain.

The focus wheel is smooth and precise, making it easy to lock onto birds even in low light. The whole rig fits neatly in my jacket pocket without any awkward bulk.

I've been carrying these on every dog walk for a month now, and being able to slip them into a jacket pocket means I actually use them daily. That 8x magnification is surprisingly steady, and the sharp focus on distant tree branches hasn't let me down once.
