Used Manfrotto 498RC4 Midi Ball Head

The quick-release plate is super solid, locks in tight with no wobble at all. This used ball head feels practically new and handles my heavier lens setup smoothly. Exactly what I needed for stable panning shots.

I was honestly surprised how smooth the panning is on this ball head—even my older lenses track moving subjects without any jerkiness. The quick-release plate locks tight and the whole build feels reassuringly solid for a midi unit.

The quick-release plate is a lifesaver when I’m swapping between my tripod and monopod mid-shoot, and it clicks in solidly every time. Even though it’s used, the ball head moves buttery smooth with zero stickiness. Feels like a proper workhorse for the price.
