Took this lens out for a soccer game and the vibration reduction really paid off—I got sharp shots handholding at 300mm with no tripod. The silent autofocus is a lifesaver when you’re trying not to distract the players.

I’ve been using this lens for bird photography, and the silent AF-P motor is a game-changer—no more spooking the birds with loud focusing noise. The VR stabilization makes handheld shots at 300mm surprisingly sharp. Great value for the price.

Got this for shooting my kid's soccer games and the silent autofocus is a game-changer, I can fire off bursts without spooking the players. The vibration reduction really earns its keep too, handholding at 300mm gives me sharp shots I never managed with my old lens.
