The view through this thing is sharp enough that I could read a hull number off a boat probably half a mile out, and the built-in rangefinder reticle makes estimating distance feel almost automatic. Took it on a wet coastal walk last week and the waterproofing held up perfectly, no fogging at all.

The digital compass is spot-on, and the reticle makes measuring distance to that buoy at 300 yards feel almost automatic. I’ve used it during a few survey trips, and the optics are sharp even in low light. Solid build, too—it’s handled a bit of drizzle without fogging up.

The integrated digital compass and reticle make it incredibly easy to log bearings while out on the water. I was able to get a steady fix on a distant buoy even with the boat rocking, and the focus wheel is buttery smooth.
