Ricoh GK-1 金属製ホットシューカバー

This metal cover clicks into place with a satisfying precision that the plastic ones just don’t have. It’s a small thing, but knowing the GR III’s hot shoe is protected from dust gives me peace of mind.

I'm amazed at how perfectly this sits flush on the GR III—it doesn't add any bulk, and the chamfered edges feel premium. It's a tiny detail, but having the hot shoe protected gives me peace of mind when tossing the camera in a bag.

The metal build feels reassuringly solid compared to the flimsy plastic caps I’ve used before, and it sits flush on the hot shoe so it doesn’t snag on my bag. Dust hasn’t been an issue since I started keeping it on between shoots.
