Enjoy the benefits of L-Series quality

L-series lenses are designed to represent the best in precision-designed EF optics, you can expect nothing less than clear, sharp and expansive images with very little distortion.

You’ll be sure to achieve clarity in your images as the Canon 16-35mm features a constant f/4 aperture. It performs brilliantly in a variety of light settings - night or day, cloudy or sunny - the quality is consistent. The f/4 maximum aperture stays constant over the full focal-length range, so there is no variation in shutter speed or ISO when zooming.

The lens features two UD (Ultra Low Dispersion) elements to reduce chromatic aberrations and a Super Spectra Coating to help with colour balance and amplify contrast in your images. The combination of these aspherical elements battles the issue of flare and ghosting so you can feel confident when shooting.

Thanks to the 9-blade circular aperture diaphragm you’ll be able to achieve a smooth beautiful background whilst your foreground subjects stand out sharply.

The Canon 16-35mm lens also has a non-rotating front element so you can easily fit on a 77mm filter.

Ultrasonic Focusing

You won’t struggle to focus as the Canon 16-35mm has a ring-type ultrasonic motor that silently operates autofocus rapidly. An efficient holding torque also ensures that focus is reached accurately, without overshooting. Fine tune the details in manual override without leaving AF mode.

Enjoy the best of both with the 0.28mm minimum focussing distance. Feel closer to your subjects whilst still enjoying a wide field of view.

Durability

With its high-quality engineered plastic body and fluorine coatings to prevent dust and water droplets from sticking to the front and rear lens, the Canon 16-35mm is durable but also outstanding when it comes to image quality.
