Swapped out my old rig’s bulky hood for this and the weight difference is immediate—it’s genuinely light enough for handheld shots. Picked this up for a lighter field kit and the filter slot mechanism is surprisingly solid for such a small matte box. Holds my ND filters snugly without any wobble, even when running around with a gimbal. Great value for the used price.

Samuel ★★★★★

The compact size is perfect for my handheld rig—it doesn’t add any awkward bulk, and the shade actually blocks glare on sunny shoots. Filter changes are quick since the slots are easy to reach, and it feels solid enough for daily use. For the price, this is a steal for run-and-gun work.
