I shoot a lot of outdoor portraits in harsh sunlight, and this hood has been a lifesaver for cutting out glare. The bayonet mount clicks into place firmly with no wobble at all.

The bayonet mount clicks on tight with zero wobble, which is exactly what you want when swapping hoods in a hurry. It’s blocked stray light from a low streetlamp during a night shoot without a hint of flare eating into my highlights.

Went out on a sunny day to shoot a wedding and not a single flare ruined a frame — the hood kept everything clean even with the sun right at the edge of the frame. Feels solid enough to take a knock in the bag, and the bayonet mount clicks in with a reassuring snap.
