The autofocus is snappy and accurate, locking onto my subject’s eye without hunting even in dim indoor light. Portraits come out with a lovely, natural separation that makes the bokeh look really smooth for the price. For a used lens in this condition, the sharpness wide open is honestly a steal.

Even in challenging evening light, the autofocus was surprisingly decisive and quiet, making it a joy for candid portraits. The metal build feels more premium than I expected at this price point, and the compact size fits my kit perfectly. This 50mm f2 is quickly becoming my go-to walkaround prime.
