Sony 50mm 1.8 OSS E Mount Lens - Black

Enjoy a clearer perspective during handheld shooting with the Sony 50mm 1.8 OSS E Mount Lens – Black. Designed for APS-C E-mount cameras, this lens has a 50mm focal length (75mm equivalent) for those perfect portrait shots. The impressive optical construction includes a fast f1.8 aperture for brighter low light shots, a high-speed autofocus and Sony’s Optical SteadyShot so you can benefit from sharper stills and movies.

Beautiful Optics

With the constant F1.8 maximum aperture and 7-blade circular aperture, you can easily achieve a beautiful blur (bokeh) in the background – perfect for bringing full attention to your foreground subject. With a brighter aperture, you can produce stunning stills even in low light conditions.

High-speed Autofocus

The Sony 50mm lens has a linear focus motor that drives the elements for a faster, precise and near-silent autofocus, even during HD shooting. Switch over to Manual Focus, which disengages the AF to allow you to have more control over focusing details.

Impressive Image Stabilisation

Enjoy a more stable handheld shooting experience thanks to the Optical SteadyShot programme in the 50mm lens. Great for eliminating camera shake even when shooting in low light conditions, without flash! The operation runs silently which is beneficial during movie recording and capturing shots more discreetly.

Durability

The Sony 50mm lens has an aluminium alloy build for extra durability but is also compact and lightweight, weighing just 202g, making it perfect for travelling or street photography.
