Viking Peregrine ED 10x42 Binoculars

I was worried 10x42s would be too heavy for long birding walks, but the rubberised armour provides a really secure, comfortable grip. The ED glass makes a noticeable difference in colour fidelity and sharpness across the entire field.

The magnesium body feels reassuringly solid in hand, and the rubberised armour gives a confident grip even in damp conditions. I’ve spent hours scanning a marsh and the clarity still surprised me, everything sharp right to the edges.

I took these out birding at sunrise, and the ED glass really made the difference—details on distant feathers popped even in low light. The rubberised armour gives a nice, secure grip that I appreciate when my hands are a bit cold. For the weight, they balance perfectly in my hands.
